Coral Expeditions Offers 2017 Sydney To Hobart Race Sail

The annual Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is one of the most looked forward to events by many of the locals as well as foreign tourists.


This is a celebration week as the event is held just after Christmas day and will go on to usher in the New Year. This year the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race is a platform that Coral Expeditions is looking to make use of to usher in tourists to take cruise rides when the event is on.

The Coral Expeditions will offer its guests a sail along with the Sydney to Hobart Yacht race to explore the waterways of Australia. The cruise on the Coral Discoverer will start off from where the yacht race starts and will come down to Hobart just when the winner celebrations of the race are set to begin in Hobart. John Longley, a veteran of the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, will be on board the cruise to give details about the race to the guests. Paralympic ISAF World Cup

In the Paralympic ISAF World Cup the Australian and British crew took away the golds.


Classes at the Paralympic ISAF Sailing World Cup, Portland and Weymouth finished as finals were held for the three classes. Sailors of Great Britain took several medals that included two golds while the Australian crew took gold in the Sonar category.

SKUD18 category saw the gold medal being won by Niki Birrell and Alexandra Rickham. They finished in style on the final day. On the final day the duo from Britain were tied in terms of points along with Italy’s team, but the Britons were able to triumph in their home waters. Another set of sailors from the same country took the third and second place and obtained the bronze medal as a result.

In the 2.4 m race Helena Lucas of Great Britain was able to make a clean sweep. As a result, she won with six wins in all the six races. She was able to stay in control through the week. Continue reading “Paralympic ISAF World Cup”

Yachting: Trio serves in sailing’s new wave

A trio of coaches has encouraged sailing numbers at Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club – Jean Montigny (France), Greg Dawson (England) and Maria Ferrario (Argentina) spent the summer days dealing with the next generation of sailors to follow the likes of Molly Meech, Peter Burling, Thomas Saunders, Cole Rippey, Trent Rippey and Jason Saunders.

They organized the centerboard sailing division at club with an telling roll-call of stars. Twenty four year old Dawson from Southend-on-Sea in Essex, came from Australia, the place where he got his sailing qualifications.

He has not heard of any well known alumni of the club before coming here. This was all new to him. He had no idea of the monster that he was walking into in terms of the yacht club. UAE strengthens it place position as top international yacht manufacturing place

UAE is all set to construct on its place as a top international yacht manufacturing spots as local makers expanded their operations, international makers relocate as well as the maritime industry goes with coastline developments, as per to industry experts.

The UAE currently ranks ninth in the world for superyacht manufacturing, with 15 projects under development, according to the 2015 ShowBoats International Global Order Book.
